This majorly hot guy met photographers Steve Henry and Tom Watkin. After several shoots with these two photographers, Steve Henry suggested that Derrick should shoot for Playgirl magazine. The editors at Playgirl loved Derrick's look and he was chosen for the May cover and centerfold of the magazine.
Derrick's Playgirl debut was huge for his career! Quickly a fan site was developed for him and within a few days, thousands of people had joined his Yahoo! group.
And now it's official! Derrick Davenport is Playgirl Magazine's Man of the Year! And it's supose to be something to see. The issue hits newsstand May 9th.

For those of you who have yet to catch Josh Hartnett in the just released mob thriller Lucky Number Slevin, go. Go now, I say. Why? Because Josh spends thirty glorious minutes parading around in nothing but a towel. It’s all very enjoyable. Oh, and did I mention he’s damn good in it, ably holding his own against the likes of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley. With his quirky grin, mischievous eyes and tousled hair, he is officially a bona-fide Hollywood hottie.
